Personal deposit accounts, such as Checking, Savings, Money Market, Certificates of Deposit and Loans can be managed through eBanking.

Will I be able to manage my Business accounts through eBanking?

How much does eBanking Cost?
You can take advantage of the following free services:

  • Check your account balances
  • View your current and previous statements
  • Find all or particular recent transactions
  • Download account transactions into Quicken
  • Transfer money between your personal Checking, Savings and Money Market accounts
  • Pay bills with Montgomery Bank Bill Pay
Is eBanking available 24 hours a day?
Yes. At times it may be necessary for us to perform maintenance on the eBanking system. If maintenance is required, not all eBanking services may be available.

How does Montgomery Bank protect my financial information?
Ebanking security is a partnership between Montgomery Bank and you. Montgomery Bank is responsible for the eBanking system and network security. To protect your account information, Montgomery Bank:
  • Provides effective systems and network security. Some of the tools we use include strong encryption and firewalls
  • Limits eBanking system access to authorized individuals. We require that you develop a unique password. Please keep this confidential so others can’t access your information.
  • Disconnects you after a period of inactivity.
  • Requires you to have a 128-bit browser, the most secure browser technology currently as available.
What can I do to protect my financial information?
You are responsible for protecting your financial information by limiting access to eBanking. Always follow these important security guidelines:
  • Use a password that combines letters and numbers. Avoid using easy-to-guess information for password, like your social security number or your birth date.
  • Keep your username and password secret
  • Make sure no one is watching when you log in
  • Exit eBanking when you leave your computer
What is encryption and why do I need it?
Encryption refers to scrambling data so that unauthorized parties can’t decipher it. It is important your confidential information remains secure as it is passed between your PC and Montgomery Bank’s server. To ensure your information is as secure as possible, we require that your browser uses 128-bit encryption.

What do I need to register for eBanking?
When you register, you will need to make sure you comply with the necessary system requirements listed below:
  • An IBM compatible PC that uses one of the following browser/operating system combinations: Internet Explorer 6.0(or greater) or Netscape 6.1 (or greater)
  • A browser that uses 128-bit encryption
  • Internet access
  • A modem
For your convenience, at your request, we can provide you with a compact disk (CD Rom) allowing download of Microsoft Explorer browser upgrade to high strength security. Discs are available for $5.

You will also need information such as your E-mail address, date of birth, mother’s maiden name and your primary checking account. If you are a new customer to Montgomery Bank, you will need to establish a new checking account and additional information will be requested on the application.

What happens after I register?
After your application has been accepted and approved, your eBanking services will be activated within 2 business days. You will receive an email with important information about our eBanking services. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-455-2275.

How does eBanking work with my other personal financial software?
Ebanking allows you to export transactions to the personal finance management application Intuits Quicken.
